STS Storage & Transportation Solutions is the new Business Unit of EMS Group which specializes in transportation logistics, warehousing and all other aspects associated with the shipping of goods.
STS was born out of the need to complete the range of solutions offered by the Group and to provide our customers with a single hub for all of supply chain needs. At the same time, we offer clients the benefit of our integrated solutions, coupled with high quality standards and 24/7/365 customer support, which differentiates EMS Group from other suppliers.

EMS>STS, has its own business, production and engineering operations, combining the renowned Magazzini Automatici Zecchetti (automated warehouses) with the innovative technological expertise in the design and production of AGV vehicles.
Through the acquisition of Zecchetti srl, EMS Group has implemented the first stage of a methodically mapped plan: to improve the organization of the Automated Warehouses and to carry out this strategy by introducing the new AGV vehicles, thereby creating a dedicated team of technical experts and supporting growth through the EMS Group business network.

The STS strategy is based on carefully LISTENING and gaining a good UNDERSTANDING of our customers’ needs, and then providing solutions that maintain the value of their products: by supporting our customers, we make them more and more competitive.

The future of Logistics: more flexibility with more customized solutions

The range of warehousing solutions offered by EMS>STS includes single-module vertical warehouses, multi-module management systems, AS/RS (automatic storage & retrieval systems) and multi-level shuttle systems that are extremely flexible and can be adapted to specific requirements: starting from our objective of optimizing all warehousing operations, both in terms of space and handling of materials, EMS Group then decided to focus on the journey the materials make from the production line to the warehouse and from the warehouse to the shipping area.

This is how the new AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) vehicles were born, wholly manufactured by EMS>STS, robots that can move independently around the work areas without the need for operators on board, using smart management systems both indoors and outdoors.

With a range of over 60 products and several customization options, EMS>STS today is able to automate any logistical requirement, by combining modern systems for the storage and handling of materials, with state-of-the-art laser and inertial navigation technologies.
