MECSPE 2021:
Product Handling is Our Game!

We are getting back to business in a big way by participating in MECSPE 2021, the international event dedicated to innovations for the manufacturing industry. A place where production technologies and industrial supply chains come together, the ideal occasion to showcase the Next Generation Factory concept by EMS Group.

MECSPE IS READY. The 19th edition of the exhibition will be finally held in person again from 23 to 25 November at BolognaFiere. The event, which is dedicated to innovation technologies and the Industry 4.0, aims to take a leap into the future and provide an overview of the opportunities for technological development available to companies, especially in the field of automation.

EMS Group will be participating in the SALONE LOGISTICA to show how automation can integrate every stage of product handling, from depalletization/palletization to storage and shipping, thanks to systems such as vertical warehouses, AGVs and Truck Live Tracking.

Next Generation Factory: vertical warehouses, AGVs and Truck Live Tracking

The evolution of the logistics paradigm we are experiencing today entails the adoption of new digital technologies: the purpose is to review one’s own company in a lean production perspective, focusing on productivity and efficiency.

The event will serve as an opportunity to show how the automation of the storage phase, using automated warehouses, can be integrated with product handling processes thanks to AGVs and Truck Live Tracking in order to bring a smart factory environment to life.

When we talk about a Next Generation Factory, we are referring to a new organizational and production model that is fully integrated and digitalized. We are talking about achieving the highest degree of production efficiency through fully automated intralogistics processes.

Automated warehouses can be considered the first step in the launch of this project; their use offers many practical advantages, such as:

  • Recovering up to 90% of floor space
  • Increasing storage capacity
  • Making full use of outdoor or underground spaces
  • Increasing safety for personnel
  • Eliminating the risks of theft, loss and damage
  • Reducing times for storage, search and pick-up

Automated warehouses can be integrated with:

  • AGVs, vehicles that move autonomously, shifting goods and materials both inside and outside production sites.
  • Truck Live Tracking, a cutting-edge integrated logistics solution that makes it possible to check – when loading vehicles and by reading RFID tags – the actual size of the load and detailed information (batch, production date, etc.); this information goes straight into the company’s management system, allowing stock to be unloaded and outgoing bills of lading to be accurately generated.

EMS Group: a Single Partner for intralogistics innovation

Today, the acceleration of the economy and globalization are contributing to an ever-evolving and increasingly competitive market. Ensuring the efficiency and optimization of all production processes is the only way that companies can stay competitive and set themselves apart from their competitors.

In this scenario, the EMS Group is a leading partner in the field for companies that want to innovate their intralogistics processes with integrated solutions aimed at increasing efficiency and safety.

What does it mean to have a SINGLE PARTNER FOR HANDLING products and materials?

  • deal with a single interlocutor who solves various problems with integrated solutions;
  • save space, time and energy;
  • become more competitive in the global market.

EMS Group & BRICK VISION

The focus of the MECSPE 2021 edition will be the factory without limits, a fully comprehensive collection of technologies and demonstrative and interactive activities to introduce visitors to the new concept of the factory of the future. In this respect, the concept that EMS Group came up with and has implemented in collaboration with BRICK VISION by Riccardo Zangelmi, a LEGO® engineer, is intended to offer visitors the opportunity to truly experience the smart factory in a real, physical context.

The idea of the factory of the future is now taking shape, moving and operating before our very eyes.

At the EMS Group stand (Hall 29 – Booth 38D), you will have the chance to see a miniature model of a fully operational Next Generation Factory made from LEGO® bricks.

Product Handling is Our Game!

The rules of the game have changed: to be ready today for future challenges is key to staying competitive. Together we can win this game!
