Truck Live Tracking is a gate with RFID-based technology. It is an advanced solution in integrated logistics, as it speeds up the loading and unloading of goods in the warehouse.

Automation of intralogistics and goods transport processes is a priority for manufacturing and distribution companies that want to maintain a competitive edge.
Dynamic markets continuously challenge production and quality parameters, pushing towards innovative solutions that optimize costs and improve service quality.
Investing in the Internet of Things is the response from companies aiming to reduce the complexity of procedures and increase process efficiency.
Access to technology is just the first step: in a fully functioning system that follows the logic of lean production, flow optimization is the keyword.

Logistics is a truly comprehensive system in which a multitude of steps come together: order management, goods handling and storage, and transport coordination. Thanks to digitization, all the links in the supply chain have become much more streamlined and, for these elements to be well organized, each step must work by sharing and exchanging data between the information systems in use.

The intralogistics processes of companies have specific needs, and products and services based on technological platforms capable of supporting and evolving the business, are designed to address them.
One type of activity that perfectly represents this concept is the Truck Live Tracking system: an RFID-based gate that allows objects to be identified and tracked through tags, thus enabling automatic checking and reconciliation.

Truck Live Tracking: what it is and how it works

The Truck Live Tracking system makes it possible to check the contents of trucks in transit.
The reading gate consists of an aluminum frame; the reading antennas (Readers) are mounted on two side-bearing structures for reading the RFID labels.
The UHF (Ultra High Frequency) technology and the multiple independent antennas (4) allow for a highly accurate reading of the loads in transit.

The gate is positioned close to the loading/unloading outlets and can read up to 200 tags per second, reliably identifying all objects passing through.

Truck Live Tracking can also detect a range of data related to the load, including product type, batch and date of production, and so on.
Through systems integration, this information is transmitted to the company management system and makes it possible to download the production stock and generate the transport document.
At the same time, the solution can be used in inbound logistics for incoming goods activities for material supply and to update accounting records, reducing inbound control time.
That makes RFID gates an application that can be implemented in any production environment and business sector.

All the advantages of Truck Live Tracking

Automating inbound and outbound flows of goods improves the management of intralogistics processes because it allows the reorganization of resources, bringing efficiency and reducing costs.
Precision, reliability, and speed are just some of the benefits that an organization experiences when using our Truck Live Tracking solution.

Loading and unloading of stock without errors

The main strength is the reduction of the margin of error. The use of the Truck Live Tracking system optimizes the inbound or outbound flows of goods within the warehouse as the reading is carried out automatically.
Automating the flow means eliminating the risk of operator oversights or errors. This way, the process becomes reliable.
Moreover, the data exchange with the company management system is automated and guarantees the utmost precision in system registrations. In fact, each pallet with an RFID tag is registered by the information systems as it passes through the gate. Thus, stocks are aligned accurately and promptly.

Lower management costs

In a production or distribution company, day-to-day events may occur and slow the work down:

  • Manual inspection of parcels to check the correctness of the goods shipped or received.
  • Shipping or receiving incorrect pallets.
  • Misaligned stocks.

These setbacks can lead to customer dissatisfaction due to errors or delays and increased operating costs. The use of smart systems, such as our RFID-based gates, improves the quality of the service provided, speeds up response times, and optimizes management costs.

Control and tracking

RFID gate technology helps to create a system that provides a complete and detailed picture for both inbound and outbound logistics management.
Our Truck Live Tracking system allows operators to have more control over the inbound, in-stock, and outbound products from different areas, optimizing monitoring over the entire flow of goods.
RFID labels supplied by EMS Group ensure product tracking, from the automatic labeling throughout their intralogistics and logistics journey.

Truck Live Tracking: a new contribution to the creation of the Smart Factory

The productivity and competitiveness of companies are closely related to the speed, precision, and efficiency of managing their internal flows.
Investing in advanced technologies such as Truck Live Tracking to optimize production and intralogistics processes means creating the digital infrastructure for a smart factory.
The logistics and intralogistics sector has skyrocketed in recent years thanks to major investments in the Internet of Things.
Complete product tracking and integration of processes underpin the idea of the smart factory, which involves the synergy with people, systems and software.
